Test the duty cycle and maximum output amperage and you’ll find it’s just a thin-walled welder. Shame on you Tim for not checking on the REAL criteria that defines a welder (bought two of your subscriptions because I thought you were a reputable influencer). Truth be told, this welder CANNOT DELIVER! I have since relighted my 170 as a thin-walled tubing (Only) welder. Tim! Please don’t sell-out.

The only issue is the amount of time you can weld continuously. Then it will overheat. Pay attention to the length of time. On the inside of the cover you will find the time limits. I bought mine and it runs very well. Made a canopy out of pipe. Made a metal pipe rack out of spare pipe in a few hours. Tools I used. A cordless grinder with cutoff wheels and flap wheel pads. Tape measure. Soap stone. 1 1/4 pipe . Welding hood. Ear muffs to cut the cutting metal apart and clear grinding hood. Leather apron. Leather shoes. I ran out of my big spool of wire and bought a new roll. The new roll welds better. Coped the pipe ends to join each pipe to make the joints.

AC balance on a TIG welding rig is a control setting that adjusts the percentage of time the alternating current (AC) cycle spends on the positive versus the negative polarity., you'll like it. That thing burned rods like a boss, I ran a 1/8" 7014 at 70 amps on 3/16" plate with my Yeswelder 250 pro and welded nicely. The weld was high but still penetration was good. Also the synergic function is more spot on then Arc Captain. My 205 mp, is now my lunchbox. Now there's actually a place in my business for the Arc Captain. At least as a welding machine it did give me at least 16 hours of use. now it will give me 1000s of hours of use. Well done Spark Craptain.

I have the newer version of this exact welder. Your right this 250 and the newer 250 have great thermal protection. I've welded with mine for hours with no issues. Every process on this machine welds as it should. The newer version can be used on 110 or 220. Welds aluminum really well. These will and have been proven to outlast Arc Captain welders.
