I just got one in the mail from Amazon for $116.51, which includes tags. I did buy the 3-year extended warranty, which I believe was around $20 to $30. I was shocked it came with the stick welding attachment and two spools of wire, .30 and .35. It's pretty straightforward and extremely easy to set up. I didn't even read the instructions. It took me three test welds to dial it in. Wish I could show a picture of the third weld. It has decent penetration and very little splatter. Time will tell if I truly like it or not. I bought it to do automotive repairs, go-kart, lawn mower, and building things, as well as weld pieces of steel together so I can do forge welding in my forge.
"Low output" 😂 same generator Ive been using for 5 years. Welds AC Tig on 110 too
I have a MXR 4800i open frame inverter generator from amazon , it has 3500 running watts. I can max out my Yeswelder 135pro when using flux core and 115 amp when running in stick mode. I run it from the RV plug (29.2 amp) with a NEMA-15 adapter. A 3000 watts generator will probably be enough to run the 90i at 120 amp.
Have fun. Mine has lasted longer than I expected
@jensen-designmy second one failed today, it was welding along just fine, then nothing. Just like the last one, it acts like it looses its ground, but when I pull the trigger pointing directly at the ground clamp it sparks a bit but will not light off, any ideas?
I bought one, used it a lot and eventually it did stop working after 10 or so 2# spools of wire. Machine works beautifully, I love it. So I bought another one from Amazon for 100$, and I am like 4 spools into my second one. You will end up replacing the ground clamp eventually, but that’s about it. For the money you cannot go wrong.
I have used the titanium once and prefer the yeswelder. They are both from China so.....
Si sirve, y sirve muy bien. Ya tengo años con la mia. La use para parar un techo en el shop.
It’s welded everything on my property efficiently. Every skilled property owner should own one
Kinda crazy but I have never tripped a braker with this machine. You might give it a try. It isn't ideal but you never know till you try
Learn how to weld first. I have one and still runs perfectly after regular use over a year. And I punish it
Maybe a year late, but the wire is feeding...
@jensen-design I did buy the welder for fixing lawnmower handle. Work really well and I'm not a welder
I have been surprised how well it has held up
Thank you for the update! I've run about 2 1/2 rolls of .030 wire and 1 pound of 3/32" 6013 rods through mine, and it seems to be doing quite well thus far, on a 20 amp circuit. It also seems to run fine on a WEN GN400i open frame inverter generator.
It's been a year since I have it, my first welder and I learned a lot with it. For stick welding: This thing have a very hard time starting and keeping an arc with 6010/6011 but I heard is typical for inverter welders so stick with 6013, 7018, stainless steel rods and E4043 aluminum (never tried it). I use it on a 15 amp breaker, it works, you just need to keep it to 60 amp max for continuous welding (you can use 65-70 for 3 inch bead, if more you pop the breaker). Also I cannot use 7014/7018 since it's too much amperage for my 15 amps breaker. Mig flux core works very well, I fixed 2 metal chairs and I patched my mower deck with 0.030 wire. Great welder to work outside since arc rods and flux core doesn't care about wind.
I use it on a 120v 15 amp outlet, for stick welding I can go to 60 amps continuous without tripping the breaker, at 65-75 amps I can make a 3 inch bead before it trip. That's about 110-130 IMP on the fluxcore setting with the 0.30 wire. To go higher you need a 20 amp outlet.
Thank you. This little welder has surprised me
You must of gotten a return cause mine is super quiet wire feeding hahaha and it automatically sets the amperage for you when you select weld type
I have run this little welder on 20 amp service with extension cords and had no issues
Yes, I have used it that way, not enough to comment on. It works fine. I just haven't used it enough to have any good information
My Yeswelder came with some screws missing in the hinge, loose screws, and it would not hold a steady arc when welding aluminum; I got it as a second welder for welding aluminum. The one I bought was for also welding aluminum. Bought it from the company, I had to return it, and it cost me $50 to return it. That one, a flux core gasless, might be alright for the price...
@Mike-z5r8f I hope you get it fixed. I have had good luck with mine and used it more than I thought would
@jensen-designNot really I maybe put down a few welds. I’m going to hope maybe it’s a loose connection or bad ground and try again today.
Mine started off great now I don’t have any heat adjustment and only speed. It’s sparking but not hot enough to even burn the wire.
I havnt had that issue. Ive been using it for over a year now. Its my go-to for everything flux. Idk what to tell you, if there would have been an issue with mine, I would have said something 🤷♂️
Have this same YesWelder in Feb 2025 then Nov 2025 the insulation for welding torch is overheated and burn through its insulation. Guessing what you paid is what you get! But long term honest review is much appreciated and not just open box and few quick welds and jump to premature conclusion *** Update after 6 months of usage: mig feature dies; pressing trigger and machine won’t weld. If folks think they buy disposable disposable machine, they’ve got it! Money is hard to come by these days, but not a reliable machine will drain your hard earned cash and delaying of your project are not acceptable!
20 amp and an extension cord. It is kinda crazy how well this welder works. I have never had it pop a breaker.
Agreed. I have used that little welder more than I thought I would. IT IS SOOOO LIGHT
Just got mine and im super impressed with it for the price it cant possibly be any better.
I set up the Mig gun on mine. It connected and I fed the flux wire and I moved the welder and the connection point snapped off. I didn’t drop it or bang it. Amazon sent me a whole new welder. They said it has a one year warranty. Hopefully the new one holds up. I’m skeptical but will try it one more time.
Cool good luck. I have used this one way more than I thought I would
I have been using YesWelder products for over 15 years with no issues! I was always a Miller/Lincoln user and I can tell you these YesWelder machines will weld as good or better than the big name welders.
I’m 46 and welded a lot back in my 20s. I just got this machine today and it’s super easy to setup and start practicing. I’m a bit rusty but it works great!
I have used this little welder way more than I thought I would
Honest reviews but didn’t read the manual. It literally says exactly how to set it up, the wire feed button for new spool, what the voltage dial means, and I work as a tradey plus own an auto body shop. We use these all day for exhaust, bolt extraction etc. very easy to operate
its my favorite light duty machine for sure!
I agree the weight and portability is kinda un real. I have a Lincoln 120v portable and I find my self using the yeswelder more these days
GREAT video - "...that's why you're common." THAT WAS CLASSIC!!! Use this a LOT on the weekends on tidbit projects and wifey does too! Ive got a Lincoln PowerMig262 for the 'real' work and this little flux core does a pretty decent job. Works GREAT for auto sheet metal and stitch welds. There's MORE to using this with stainless/aluminum (lift-tig), comes with a stinger for stick welding, etc. For the price I paid, it was a steal.
Just a 20 amp and had no issues. I have used this little welder alot more than I thought I would
@Jerryprice-c7j I understand the concern. I haven't had any problems
Thanks man took me a bit to figure that out. I’m still not really impressed with the machine I’ve have a couple smaller welders and this one is my least favourite. I find the preset settings suck, I don’t like that I can’t fine tune my machine.
I know this is late to be saying but if you use the mig welder on -1.5 to - 2 on exhaust pipe tou should be fine just dont stay in 1 spot too long i have the same welder and it worked great on my exhaust and my friends exhaust on that setting
@robertwfrench i personally love it man. Its so light and easy to use.
doesnt rip my 20amp wall breaker. Welds pretty decent for the price. Best rods are 6013 for this machine.
@medamit I have used this one a surprising amount
I have been using my Yeswelder flux 135 regularly for about 3 years now, and it works really well. I have no complaints at all.
@markdobson1599 I hope you find it as handy as I do. I have used it more than I thought I would
@regsparkes6507 don't know if you bought one or not, but I have used it several times. It is so much lighter than my Lincoln 120v
I just purchased this same welder recently. I bought it to do custom exhaust pipes for chainsaws and other small projects. I'm not a welder, but this machine is very easy to set up and use for a novice. The voltage settings for flux core are preset on the machine for voltage vs wire feed speed, the +/- 3 volt feature is the amount you can vary the voltage from the preset voltage the machine selects based on the wire speed. It gives you some adjustment for the level of heat you need for the work piece. I'm looking forward to more videos of you using this machine. I'm currently trying .030" flux core wire.
@baileyroy69 I have used it several times and have been happy with it every time
@nilomyki nope it runs fine on a 20 amp. I have never tripped a breaker with it
I have this unit in addition to the Mig 205DS Pro and TIG 205p Pro welders. Surprisingly, tall three have output power within 5% of stated claims. All the other cheap inverter rigs have inflated numbers. The board layout and component quality is good. Their earlier stuff was meh. All their latest models... Can't beat the quality for the price.
I got this machine and the Lincoln wire. Noob welder, but I was able to get working welds quickly. The steel bent but the weld didn't break.
@yongt8840 I just used the little welder tonight. I saw your comment before I went out to use it, so I made sure to check for you. Mine runs well on 272. You may very depending on the brand of wire and machine
This one would be my choice. I pulled it out of the box and fixed the gate on my chicken pen in a few minutes.
@glassmakerx yup still have the machine. Used it on a job last week. It is just too handy for little repairs. I haven't tried the ark part, but I have a job coming up where I might use it
@sp1068 I used the yes welder today on a job and it work great again. I hope you have the same results
Hey Ryan, Dennis Russo here. I've been switching from 0.03 to 0.023 for welding up muffler mods and it's helped. My welder also does scratch start tig but yet to experiment. I know it's tricky and going to take some getting used to but when you start experimenting with scratch start maybe we can bounce some trial and errors off each other. Way to go my friend.
@jensendesign4920 hey no problem at all, I figured it would be too but watched a couple videos on it and than decro try it, was very impressed with how it welded and how little spatter it left, the slag came off super easily, that was also a plus
@micahinmaine perfect timing to reply, I got to play with mine yesterday but it kept tripping the 20 amp breaker after about 30 seconds stick welding 3/32" 7018 at 90 amps. I installed a new 30 amp breaker and outlet solely for the welder. I used the same rod, all the way up to 105 amps (horrible for actually welding) to test if the breaker would trip and it never did. I plan on testing 1/8" rod soon so i can push more amps to find out if the 30 amp breaker can handle stick welding at 135 amps. have not played with mig or tig yet.
@micahinmaine we were running it on a 20 amp breaker and had no issues. I had the machine turned all the way up. (Which is pre set when you puck wire size)
@konvictedkustomz9687 wow thanks for the help. At the end of the video I give my final thoughts and was surprised by the results and happy with the welder
@deepwinter77 I have figured out it doesn't give you much control. The 3v is just kinda a fine tune. It sets the power when you tell it what size wire
@stoneyisland1491 that’s good. I have the same welder and I really enjoy it. I’m new to welding and learned from YouTube. I’ve made some really nice welds. I just pay attention to my puddle.
